Chiltern Advisors incorporates alternative trading strategies into our investment portfolios and builds tailored portfolios from both single-strategy and multi-strategy managers.

We use a rigorous due diligence process to assess all funds. We prefer managers that invest their own money in their funds and have the following characteristics:

• A strategy investing in liquid securities that is easy to value and uses only small amounts of leverage.
• An experienced investment team with specialist knowledge of their investment strategy, a strong track record and a well-resourced business structure.
• A sustainable investment process that works effectively through the business cycle and an ability to react quickly to changing market conditions.
• A disciplined and robust risk management process that reduces volatility and contains maximum drawdowns.

We monitor managers continuously to make sure they continue to meet their investment objectives and our exacting standards.
